Grilling For All Reasons

Hi, my name is Steve Mahaney and I’m a working chef.  My passion though is outdoor cooking – ESPECIALLY wood-fired or charcoal.  Food is SO much better, and I believe healthier, when cooked fresh over an open fire, using natural spices and ingredients, with that dash of smoke and flavor imparted by the fire.

Grilling For All Reasons was created so that I might share my passion with you with great recipes from around the world, how-to’s, tips and techniques, as well as to allow you to share your favorites with our community.   You do not have to be a Grill Master to become part of our community – simply a desire to learn about grilling and open fire cooking, seasonings, tips and techniques, and to develop your own passion.  In fact, I hope to show that anyone can be as successful grilling (or perhaps more so) as cooking in a kitchen – it’s easy, fun, and can be a center-point of a gathering of family and friends.

As the title implies, nothing is off limits here regarding grilling — wood-fired, charcoal, gas, backyard, beach, campsite, RV, indoor — we’ll explore it all.   AND, it is my sincere hope that you will engage and share your wisdom and learnings.
